Tendulkar's interview ,that was broadcast on news channels, was outrageous. Whatever he spoke, smacked of arrogance. He may have been idolised by millions of his fans world over and may be he is very much fit to continue his play for another decade. At the same time he should remember that he is getting the laurels because he is in the team. He  should also remember that he is being paid for his performance/non-performance on the field. He may have scored the father of all the centuries, but  at the cost of a victory against Bangladesh, and at the expense of many heartbreaks in  India. He is not at all correct when he said that he will decide  when to retire and when to not. BCCI may not be in a position to discard him because he has overgrown the game itself, but his socalled fans will never tolerate him once he becomes a liability, and that day is not very far given the temperament of Sachin that was visible on that day on TV channels.
Had Sachin been a true sportsperson, he should have cared for the teeming millions of budding cricketers who are toiling day in and day out in the open sun, to get their rightful place in their respective teams. All of them are frustrated that  their demi-god has let them down for pecuniary benefits. If that is so, then the future of cricket in India is definitely doomed. It will definitely continue to be the passtime of miilions, but not more than that.
